Spanish publication Marca conducted an investigation using artificial intelligence to find the ideal forward to replace Karim Benzema in Real Madrid.
Artificial intelligence Olocip was used to search for a player to replace Benzema. The Spanish publication claims that it is the only technology capable of predicting a player’s performance in a specific team. The main criteria for searching for a potential replacement for Benzema were: the footballer must be a pure “number nine” and be no older than 21 years old. All players considered were rated from 0 to 100, where 0 means that the footballer would not be able to show his potential in the current Real Madrid, and 100 would be given to a forward whose adaptation would be the least painful.
According to the artificial intelligence, the best option is Benfica’s forward Gonçalo Ramos, who received a score of 92. In second place is Reims forward Folarin Balogun with a score of 88. The top three is completed by Montpellier player Eli Wahi with a rating of 80.
